工程大數據實驗室 (Laboratório do Centro de Processamento de Dados)

Laboratório do Centro de Processamento de Dados (also known as the Lab of Big Data), National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) was founded in March, 2020. The aim of the lab is to realise the various phases of data/information analytics and to implement IT systems for which through interdisciplinary applications of IT (information technology), OR (operational research) and the decision sciences, while the concepts of big data analytics and the theory of data-driven decision-making (DDDM) underlie these works.
Data analytics include a full range of works, such as data collection, curation, pre-processing, statistical analysis, prediction and decision-supporting, based on real or empirical data. These works address the quality of fact-to-data, the data-preprocessing techniques that are acquaint with the original data to convert data into information, and knowledge, and even wisdom, that can be retrieved and gained by using a couple of analytical, predictive, or decision methods. Therefore, it is modestly expected that by exploring these insights, some implications could be brought to the human beings and the relevant fields.
